Rodriguez Farms Inc., as it is fondly called, was an agriculture-based entity. Owned and operated by the late Pedro P. Rodriguez, Sr. together with his family members, raised livestock like goats, cattle, horses, pigs and even fowl poultry.
The farm was fully planted with different fruit trees, coconut trees and even rice sufficient enough to feed all the families working within the farm.
The farm was in an excellent condition even before the Japanese occupation of 1942, but in the year 1971, Mr. Rodriguez, geared for more developments and envisioned a larger farming business therefore, venturing into banana farming.
He went into an agreement in the same year with the Zobel de Ayalas and the Aboitizes, thus the birth of the very first Banana Plantation farm in Davao City and the second in the province of Davao. Because of the years of experience in farming, Rodriguez Farms was able to produce one of the best in quality Cavendish Bananas enabling them to supply the company, Delmonte Phils, which up to this date still enjoys their yield.

Today, after 3 decades of growing the best Cavendish bananas in the region, Rodriguez Farms has been developing sites to accommodate the demand for their bananas. At present, they have more than 100 hectares in Davao City and look forward to expand in areas of Davao del Sur and Bukidnon. By the year 2008, Nemesio Rodriguez, the late Pedro Rodriguez’s eldest son and President of Rodriguez Farms Inc., decided to go into further business ventures by exporting their own products.
Thus, the creation of their new family corporation named “PalanFruits, Incorporated”, to be based in Davao City, Philippines.
The corporation shall be in charge of exporting their own products with the brand name “Charito Premium Bananas”, targeting various markets from Asia to the Middle East and as far as RUSSIA.
